Binjal with dried shrimps

Ingredients:

1 long brinjal
1 palm full dried shrimps
1/2 tablespoon dark soya sauce
2 pieces chili padi
1/2 teaspoon chili paste
4 tablespoon oil

Method:

Cut brinjal length wise into 4 strips. Followed by cutting in 2 inches. Soak dried shrimps in a bowl with hot water.

Heat wok with oil. Fry brinjal till soft. Set brinjal aside then fry dried shrimps and chili padi. When can smell fragrant dried shrimp, add in brinjal, dark sauce and chili paste. Give it a good stir fry, making sure all is mixed totally.

Silken Tofu with dried shrimps

Easy dish to cook during a lazy afternoon. Two main ingredients and 5 minutes is all it takes to cook this dish. It goes very well with rice.

Ingredients:

1 packet of silken tofu
A cup of dried shrimps
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons soya sauce
1 tablespoon dark soya sauce

Method:

Soak dried shrimp in hot water till soft. Unpack the tofu carefully into a plate. Heat the tofu in a microwave oven for 2 minutes.

Heat wok with oil. Add in dried shrimps and stir fry till fragrant.

Pour dried shrimp and chili padi over tofu. Drizzle in soya sauce and dark soya sauce.

Note: For those that like some fiery hot taste to this dish, add some cut chili padi while stir frying the dried shrimps.
